Cerebral palsy, the chronic and stubborn disease classified as " a difficult medical problem" by the world medical circles, has had new progress and promise of being overcome in the present time when human beings are about to enter the 21st century. Damage of central nervous system caused by various factors does not necessarily lead to death of nerve cells in all cases, most of the damaged nerve cells, being damaged in varying degrees or being deficient in nutrients, are in half-death or dormant state, and these neurons will revive once sufficient nutrients are available. The key to the treatment of cerebral palsy and hypophrenosis lies in strengthening the activity of central neurons. The use of biological medicines, especially the Chinese drugs, can produce the efficacy of clearing and activating the channels and collaterals and promoting blood circulation to remove blood stasis, effectively improve microcirculation of the brain, improve metabolism of brain cells, promote neuronal regeneration and avoid or reduce the toxic or side effects of drugs. A new Chinese drug developed by me after more than a thousand times of experiments has been proved in clinical application of 1 864 indicated patients to have more than 90% of the patients restored or improved in varying degrees in consciousness, intelligence, limb and linguistic functions and audio-visual activities, this being a good example. This achievement brought to attention of Author's unit: Guangdong Gaoming Medocal and Medicinal Institute of Encephalopathy, Gaoming Guangdong 528500 people of the same profession, medical experts from United States of
America, Japan, Singapore, etc. came to make their investigation. In 1997,
Bu Dingfang, professor of Beijing Medical University, Mu Ying, professor
of genetic diseases, Beijing Medical University, Qu Chuanyan, professor
of Health Center for Women and Children, and others made a retrospective
survey study on more than 1 000 cases of different encephalopathies for
a period of nearly three months. The results showed that this new drug
has curative effect on encepalopathy due to various causes without any
side effects. The results are consistent with those of pharmacological
and toxicological tests made by Lanzhou Medical College a few years ago
and change the view that damaged brain cells cannot regenerate. |
