Professor Li Zizhong, male and native of Hefei, Anhui, graduated in his earlier years from the Second Military Medical University of the Chinese People's Liberation Army and used to take the positions of Director of Psychosis Hospital of Chaohu Area, Director of Psychosis Hospital of Longnan Area, Gansu Province, Director of Civil Health Recovery Hospital of Gansu Province, Director of Recovery Center of Cerebral Paralysis and Mentally Retarded of Gansu Province, Director Cerebral Disease Recovery Hospital of Kunming, Yunnan Province, Director of Encephalopathia Therapy and Medical Research Institute of Gaoming, Guangdong Province, Director of Hong Kong Academy of Encephalic and Medical Science, Chairman of the World Biotic Science and Technology Association, etc.
For over 30 years Professor Li Zizhong has been devoted to the medical research in the field of neurology. Based on the development of the heritage on traditional Chinese medicine and the combination of modern neuroscience theory, he has always been developing, innovating, researching and making conclusions. He finally made through research series of prescriptions (0-9) of Chinese medicine, among which the neurological nourishing prescription coded as "Li's 5th Prescription" has been proved by laboratory tests and tens of thousands of clinical usages for a dozen of years to have the functions of improving the growing of cerebral central nerve cell, the repairing of their injuries, controlling their withering and death and being beneficial to their proliferation and regeneration. Upon the studies on nervous molecule level with the help of China Medicine University, China Guangzhou Chinese Medicine University and other research institutes, it is further verified by the test results that "Li's 5th Prescription" series products reach a rate of 93% in the protection and inhibitory against withering and death to traumatic central nervous cell and a breeding rate of 63.9% in cerebral central nervous cell. Professor Li Zizhong gained the qualification of Deputy Chief Doctor in 1988 and was promoted to Chief Doctor in 1994. In 1998 he was invited as Lifelong Professor by the World Medical Exchange University of the United Nations and obtained the Honorary Doctor Degree of American Medical Science Institute as well as the World Medical Exchange University of the United Nations. He was in 2003 elected as the Academician of the World Productivity Science Institute. He used to act as Managing Vice Chairman of Gansu Health Recovery Medical Association, Managing Director of China Civil Health Recovery Medical Association, Managing Director of Chinese Traditional Medical Association, Managing Director of China Health Care Medical Association for the Aged, Director Member of Professional Committee of Cerebral Care of China Health Care Association for the Aged and Deputy Chief Director of China Branch of the World Productivity Science Federation. He was also invited as Honorary Chairman of American Chinese Medicine Academic Society, Honorary Chairman of Hong Kong Traditional Medicine Academic Association, etc. He wrote and published "Collection of Thesis by Li Zizhong" of over 1 million words, edited "Studies on Chinese and Western Treatment of Cerebral Diseases" of 2.1 million words and "A Complete Collection of Chinese Natural Tonics". He has made great contribution to the medical circle.
